 Kobbie Mainoo scored a 97th minute winner as Man United snatched a dramatic 4-3 win at Wolves on Thursday after blowing a two-goal lead.

Marcus Rashford’s goalscoring return, days after being fined for missing training after a night out, looked set to grab the headlines as Man United sped into a 2-0 lead.

Scott McTominay restored the visitors’ two-goal cushion after Pablo Sarabia’s penalty got Wolves back in the game.

But the home side looked to have claimed a point when Max Kilman and Pedro Neto struck late on.

However, 18-year-old Mainoo provided one final twist with a brilliant solo run and shot in the latest display of his potential as a rising star.

Rashford missed Man United’s 4-2 FA Cup win at Newport County on Sunday after he spent two nights out in a Belfast nightclub last week.

Erik Ten Hag insisted before kick-off that it was “case closed” after the matter was dealt with internally.

Rashford was reportedly fined £650,000 – the equivalent of two weeks’ wages.

But the England international made an instant impact on his return, giving the visitors a perfect start after five minutes with a fine finish from outside the box.

Rasmus Hojlund then bundled in his third goal in four Premier League games from Luke Shaw’s cross as Ten Hag’s men produced arguably their best 45 minutes of the season before half-time.

The Dutch coach has put his side’s poor form this season down to an injury crisis and the Red Devils were much improved with Shaw, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro all back in the side for the first time in months.

Wolves have beaten Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea at home this season and looked to have been gifted a route back into the game in the second half.

Casemiro, who was starting his first Premier League game since October, was penalised for a foul on Neto and Sarabia converted the spot-kick

McTominay then replaced Casemiro and scored with his first touch. The Scotland international headed in a Bruno Fernandes corner.

Kilman pulled another goal back for Wolves from a corner and Neto seemed to have completed the comeback in the 95th minute by firing inside Andre Onana’s near post.

Mainoo, though, produced a moment of magic to secure Man United’s first away league win since November.

Ten Hag’s men can move into the top six on Sunday when they host West Ham after the Hammers were held 1-1 at home to Bournemouth.

Al-Nassr crushed Inter Miami 6-0 as injury ruled Cristiano Ronaldo out of a much-hyped showdown with Lionel Messi, who was limited to a late substitute appearance in Thursday’s friendly in Riyadh.

Brazilian Talisca upstaged the illustrious duo with a hat-trick as Al-Nassr demolished Inter Miami, scoring three times inside the first 12 minutes.

Otavio drilled in the opening goal as Miami lost the ball trying to play out from the back. A sliding Talisca turned in Al-Nassr’s second as the visitors again paid the price for conceding possession near their own box.

Aymeric Laporte scored the goal of the night, catching Inter Miami goalkeeper Drake Calender well off his line as he belted in a long-range free-kick from deep inside his own half.

Talisca got his second from the penalty spot minutes after half-time and Mohammed Maran looped in a header to compound Miami’s misery.

Inter Miami were clearly feeling the effects of a globe-trotting pre-season tour, but the gulf in class was also stark.

Talisca completed his treble before Messi trotted on for the final seven minutes with his team trailing by six goals.

 Nigeria forward, David Okereke has completed a loan move to Serie A club, Torino from US Cremonese.

Torino have the option to sign the striker permanently at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old joined Cremonese from Belgian Pro League outfit in 2022.

The former U-23 Eagles hitman scored nine goals in 50 league appearances for the club.

Okereke has been handed jersey number 21 by his new club.

Torino are 10th on the Serie A table with 31 points from 21 matches.

 Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has said he had “mixed feelings” following their 4-3 win at Wolves on Thursday.

The Red Devils threw away a two-goal lead at the Molineux, but picked up three points eventually, thanks to Kobbie Mainoo’s stoppage-time winner.

Mainoo scored in the 97th minute, just two minutes after Pedro Neto made it 3-3.

United dominated the first half and should have been a couple of goals ahead of Wolves.

Ten Hag, speaking after the game, said: “I have mixed feelings.

“One side, very pleased. Of course it’s a massive win and I think for a neutral fan, a spectator of this game, it was great to see.

“But as a manager, when you see you dominate a game for an hour, you should go 3-0 or 4-0 by the hour, and then the way we concede the goals we should manage that better on the pitch. This can’t happen.”

Premier League clubs spent only £96.2 million on bringing in players during the January window.

This is the lowest winter spending in three years.

Clubs have become more careful with how they splash the cash, with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, PSR, cutting down on spending power.

Last year, the Premier League clubs spent a record-breaking £780 million during the January window.

A breakdown shows that eight clubs signed players for disclosed fees.

Crystal Palace paid a total of £30.5 million for Blackburn midfielder Adam Wharton (£22 million) and Genk right-back Daniel Munoz (£8.5 million), in what was a league-high.

Tottenham spent £26.7 million on Genoa centre-back Radu Dragusin.

Manchester City (£12.5 million), Aston Villa (£9.3 million), Brighton (£7.9 million), Nottingham Forest (£5 million), Brentford (£2.6 million) and Luton (£1.7 million) also recruited players for registered fees.

 Chelsea have confirmed that two of their players, Andrey Santos and Armando Broja, have left Stamford Bridge on transfer deadline day (Thursday).

The Blues disclosed this in a separate statement on their website.

Santos joined French club RC Strasbourg on loan until the end of the season.

Broja, on the other hand, joined Premier League club Fulham on loan.

“Good luck, Armando,” Chelsea’s statement read in part.

Santos joined Chelsea from Vasco da Gama last year, while Broja joined Chelsea as an Under-9 some years ago.
