Brest made a flying start to their Champions League campaign, beating two Austrian sides Sturm and Salzburg in the process, but they will have a mountain to climb against the Bundesliga champions. Defender Bradley Locko and forward Abdallah Sima should be the only absentees in the home team. 

The BayArena outfit, on the other hand, aim to keep their 100% record as well after beating both Feyenoord and AC Milan in the first two group games. As Xabi Alonso’s men are high on confidence following a 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, we are tempted to bet on the Europa League vice-champions. The Yellow-Blacks, on the other hand, recorded a hard-fought 2-1 win over St. Pauli at the weekend, but their display was anything but promising. As Real Madrid want this triumph more than Borussia Dortmund, who have already recorded two wins in the new Champions League campaign, we are going to bet on the home team. The likes of Adeyemi, Besong, Couto, Duranville, and Reyna are injured for the Bundesliga outfit, while towering defender Niclas Sule should recover in time to face the title holders.

Emirates Stadium will host a David-vs-Goliath clash between Arsenal and Shakhtar Donetsk. The Gunners are eager to return to winning ways following a shocking loss to Bournemouth and they we are positive that Mikel Arteta is going to field a very strong starting XI on Tuesday evening. Gabriel Martinelli is widely expected to return to the starting XI, while Bukayo Saka could play some part, but probably in the second half. 

The Miners, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 3-0 loss to Atalanta and given Arsenal’s desire to get back on course, home win should be considered. Goalkeeper Tymur Puzankov should be the only absentee in the visiting team, while important midfielder Taras Stepanenko returns to the starting XI after he was rested in a 1-0 win over Kolos at the weekend. You should know that Arsenal crushed Shakhtar Donetsk 5-1 in their last meeting in London.

All eyes will be on Parc des Princes when PSG and PSV go head to head in an eagerly-awaited Champions League game. Les Parisiens aim to recover from a 2-0 loss to Arsenal and they are likely to go all guns blazing at the Dutch champions. All Lucas Hernandez, Presnel Kimpembe, and Goncalo Ramos remain on the sidelines, while Spain midfielder Fabian Ruiz is widely expected to return to the starting XI. 

PSV, on the other hand, did well to beat AZ Alkmaar in the national championship at the weekend. As Peter Bosz’s troops are likely to stick to their attacking style of play, we are tempted to put our money on over 2.5 goals. Anyhow, PSG are closer to winning Tuesday’s fixture as Luis Enrique’s men are a real force to be reckoned with at home. Defender Matteo Dams is back from the domestic ban, while the likes of Dest, Fofana, Lozano, Schouten, and Veerman remain in the recovery room for the away team.

Buoyed by a hard-fought 1-0 win over Udinese, Milan will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they take on Club Brugge in the Champions League round 3. The Rossoneri are eyeing their first win of the process and they have no other option but to go all guns blazing at the Belgian champions. Tammy Abraham is unlikely to be risked after limping off with injury in the last Serie A game, while the likes of Bennacer, Calabria, Florenzi, and Sportiello remain on the sidelines with injuries. 

Club Brugge, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Westerlo, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against AC Milan, who are a real force to be reckoned with at home. As Paulo Fonseca’s troops have been impressive at their San Siro this term, home win should be considered. Dutch defender Bjorn Meijer should be the only absentee in the away team.

Sparkles will be flying when Liverpool and Chelsea go head to head at Anfield in the Premier League derby. The Reds are on a six-game winning run in all competitions, but Sunday’s clash will be anything but a walk in the park for Arne Slot’s troops. Both Federico Chiesa and Harvey Elliott are major doubts, while Caoimhin Kelleher should start in goal in Alisson Becker’s absence. The Blues, on the other hand, failed to turn their dominance into victory in a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest. 

Chelsea, though, are likely to stick to their attacking style of play and given Liverpool’s offensive potential, a high-scoring affair is on the horizon. Left-back Marc Cucurella serves a one-game ban, while both Wesley Fofana and Reece James remain on the sidelines with injuries. In their last meeting at Anfield Liverpool recorded a thrilling 4-1 win over Chelsea and yet another goals galore is on the cards.

Following a goalless draw with Aston Villa before the international break, Manchester United will look to return to winning ways when they take on Brentford in the Premier League round 8. The Red Devils aim to put an end to their five-game winless run in all competitions and it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to get back on course. Both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are major doubts, while Mason Mount has overcome his injury. 

The Bees, on the other hand, produced a fine display in a 5-3 win over Wolverhampton, but given their difficulties on the road, we are tempted to place our bets on Erik ten Hag’s troops this time out. In their last encounter at “Old Trafford” Manchester United defeated Brentford 2-1. Attacking duo Yoane Wissa – Igor Thiago is injured for the visiting side as well as midfielder Josh Dasilva. Mathias Jensen is a major doubt.

The Gunners, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Leicester City and Southampton. As Mikel Arteta can count on key players except for long-term absentee Martin Odegaard, we are tempted to bet on the title hopefuls. In their last meeting at Vitality Stadium Arsenal rolled over Bournemouth 4-0 and we predict that history is going to repeat itself. Germany striker Kai Havertz is widely expected to lead the line for the capital club despite missing Nations League games against Bosnia and Netherlands with a knee injury.

Nigeria are set to continue their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations journey on Friday when they host Libya at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
